Baltimore County is fortunate that in past years local authors have made significant contributions to documenting its history. - The Friends of the Towson Library published A History of Baltimore County in 1979.
- The Baltimore County Public Library published Baltimore County Panorama in 1988.
- Now, a complimentary third work, Baltimore County:Celebrating a Legacy, has been commissioned by the County Office of Community Conservation and the Commission on Arts and Sciences as part of the County’s commemoration of the its 350th anniversary.
