A Legacy of Service to Others

Baltimore County’s legacy is rich with a tradition of service to others.

This encompasses Baltimore County’s service to the nation through the Revolutionary War, the War of 1812, two world wars and its citizenry answering innumerable calls to duty throughout 350 illustrious years.

Consider for a moment the courage of the Baltimore County patriots who stood their ground in the War of 1812.

Baltimore County helped turn the tide in a crucial battle, a much needed American win that foreshadowed our ultimate victory in the Battle of North Point in 1814. In September, we will go to Todd’s Inheritance to celebrate Defender’s Day and Baltimore County’s proud role in that conflict.
